The project "Valorisation of biowaste in The Science and Technology Park (PMT) of the UPC" pretends to justify the requirement of the biowaste treatment generated in the PMT. Is a Projecte Llavor  (Announcement 2010) funded by the Institute of Sustainability of the BarcelonaTech (UPC).

The PMT is a scientific and technological park promoted by the Government of Catalonia, the Consell Comarcal del Baix Llobregat, the City Council of Castelldefels and the BarcelonaTech. As BarcelonaTech, locates  the Campus Baix Llobregat (CBL), with the Escola Superior d'Agricultura de Barcelona (ESAB)  and the Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecomunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels (EETAC).
